I started my career working in London for a large international law firm as a Legal Personal Assistant and through hard work, study and working with some great people, moved into Information Technology and gained promotions to hold positions of Customer Services Manager, IT Project Manager and then IT Relationship Manager. After a successful and fulfilling career in London, I decided to follow my life long dream, and passion for animal welfare, to work with animals, and to study behaviour.
I moved on from my career in London, with encredible support from colleagues, and went back to college for 3 years to become a Registred Veterinary Nurse and qualified with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2014.
Whilst working as a Registered Veterinary Nurse I continued my education and studied for over 4 years to gain my Advanced Diploma in Canine Behaviour Management which I am proud to say I achieved with distinction.
I also trained with the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, for 2 years, to become a qualified dog trainer which involved attending residential weekend courses and passing written and practical assessments. On passing I was then accepted as a full member of the APDT. I am also listed as an Animal Training Instructor with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council.
I have been privileged to have owned dogs and horses throughout my life and have always trained and coached them using positive methods along with kindness and understanding. I have volunteered for and worked with a number of charities including the Dogs Trust Dog School, Remus and Riding for the Disabled.
To enable me to keep my knowledge and experience up to date and maintain all of my official memberships, I complete over 70 hours of continued profresional development ('CPD') each year while attending relevant webinars, courses, seminars and reading veterinary press articles, scientific papers and books.
I am passionate about coaching people and their dogs to help them achieve harmonious relationships. I help people and their dogs understand each through positive and clear communication whilst having fun and building long lasting loving connections.
